AnonymBruker Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #22 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 Well you could tie a hyssing on a wallet, and drag it on the ground downtown. Men will run after it like crazyguys, but it attracts almost only the cheapest ones. Anonymous poster hash: 23983...af8

AnonymBruker Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #25 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 In Oslo its no point dating norwegian men since most of the men there are gay. And if you ever find a straight single guy he is probably metrosexual and is too busy showing off his handbag, doing his manicure or styling his hair. If you want to find a real norwegian man you should try the countryside. They will treat you like a woman and will find a spanish señorita like you quite exotic. Anonymous poster hash: 2ddbd...614
Christiania_Oslo Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #26 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 Depend on how ypu look like. If you look like a glamourmodel, all men will run after you for sex, if you look more normal, they ignore you. You see, norwegian men have really high demands, no matter what they can offer themselves. That is why many of them go to places like Thailand and Philiphines to get a woman that is about 20-30 years younger and that will stay with these men no matter how bad they get treated, if they don't get a glamourmodel looking girl, they just head over to Asia. They don't like that women work or have an education and their own opinion. I would actually want to be with a norwegian man, but they are so cold, high demanding and hard to get. 1
Christiania_Oslo Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #27 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 Hihihihi;) Most important: they are only able to talk when they have comsumed like 8-12 beers, and most are not out looking for someone to settle with at all. They wanna play bachelor till they are around 50+ Comprende? 1

AnonymBruker Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #29 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 Generally, norwegians are more comfortable speaking english after 2am, so you might want to think about hitting the bars on friday and saturday nights. If you do meet someone you feel attracted to and would like to meet again you should ask for their number, since most norwegians are way too shy to take initiative, so chances are they wont ask you, even if they might want to. Dress semi-slutty, short skirts and cleavage is fine, but make sure you don't look like a total prostitute, because then guys may mistake you for someone just looking to score. And whatever you do, don't be yourself. Anonymous poster hash: 821e8...e55 2

It's "because we're worth it" To TS: You'll find Norwegian men everywhere of course, but be prepared that they are not as outgoing as men in southern Europe. At least not until they have consumed a significant amount of alcohol. This will probably lead you to think they're not interested when they probably are. To compensate I would simply advise you to communicate your interest clearly. Just be aware that you might have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. The upside is that you'll have a lot of sex in the process. 2

The upside is that you'll have a lot of sex in the process. If you're 6-10 ALL norwegian men want to have sex with you, worship you and pay for dinner. And here we can see two typical Norwegian men, talking about sex. Dear spanish girl, if you want sex, no problem. If you want a relationship, it's going to be harder, especially in Oslo. The average marriage year for men is very high. I see you have already described the other exchange students as "assholes". If you think THEY are assholes, then you're not going to like the Norwegians 20-year olds... I don't believe the exchange student guys are any more assholes than the Norwegians. Maybe you have too high expectations... Anonymous poster hash: 03c1a...a61 3
AnonymBruker Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #35 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 OP, don't believe all the rubbish that's being written in this thread. Dating outside the group of international students is a good idea if you want a perpetual relationship with a local guy as international connections tend to return to their countries after their studies are finished. Perhaps Norwegian men appear to be more introvert than you're used to back home but that's not to say you can't find extrovert internationally oriented guys that would like to date foreign women. And countrary to popular beliefs not all of them drink staggering amounts of alcohol let alone depend on it to make an advencement. I'd be looking in local student unions and sports societies on campus. In terms of language I don't thing you'll face many problems if you stick to English. Most Norwegians have a decent command of english but there are of course differences. In a University setting it's probably ok, especially if you have enrolled in courses that are taught in english. It would of course be benefical to learn Norwegian in the long run and before you apply for jobs. Altough many companies have settled for english as their official working language you'd still need to know basic Norwegian to interact with local clients. Anonymous poster hash: c6065...8e2

Å få kjæreste i studentårene er slettes ikke uvanlig, ville tippe det er mer uvanlig å ikke få kjæreste. 1

Out here the air is clean, it's relatively quiet and there's not many metreosexuals dancing around in their outrageous outfits n their handbags. It's almost like in Twin Peaks, besides here, the norwegians are not leaving. Bingo FTW! Anonymous poster hash: 23983...af8
Gjest oleoh Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #39 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 It's not many men in Oslo compared to women. Most men in Norway live in different towns.
Gjest oleoh Skrevet 9. februar 2015 #40 Skrevet 9. februar 2015 (endret) No actually when I went to SSB (the norwegian statistics bureau) I could read that 50 percent of the population in Oslo from 20-39 are men. You'll probably find them if you join some clubs, athletic activety, go out to a bar or something at the weekends, ask a friend if they are having a party or just hang out with them. They'll probably know a few guys. Endret 9. februar 2015 av oleoh
