the hijab does not signify that i am of a lower status than a man. because i am not. wearing a hijab strengthens my piety. whether i wear a hijab or not, men should control their sexual urges, no matter what im wearing, men will always think what they want. by wearing a hijab im not manipulating other peoples thoughts, this is FOR ME. it’s personal. it’s not sexist. if i felt like i was being oppressed and that it was sexist i would not be wearing a hijab.
