AnonymBruker Skrevet 17. mars 2013 #1 Skrevet 17. mars 2013 "I CHOSE to wear this. it’s not sexist, there are clothing rules in terms of modesty applied to men as well and in fact, modesty is talked about amongst men to respect women FAR more than it is to women. it’s repeated time and time again that men should respect women and be respectful when talking about them. the hijab does not signify that i am of a lower status than a man. because i am not. wearing a hijab strengthens my piety. whether i wear a hijab or not, men should control their sexual urges, no matter what im wearing, men will always think what they want. by wearing a hijab im not manipulating other peoples thoughts, this is FOR ME. it’s personal. it’s not sexist. if i felt like i was being oppressed and that it was sexist i would not be wearing a hijab.
