American megatrends?

I dag da jeg slo på maskinen, kom det opp svart skjerm med en rød logo. Der sto det American Megatrends og mer skjer ikke. Jeg kommer ikke inn på skrivebordet, og heller ikke i sikkerhetsmodus. Har googlet litt og dette skal visst nok være en "advarsel" om at noe er galt med pc'en, men hva i alle dager gjør jeg for å finne det ut?

Noen som har mer erfaring med dette?

Hei har lest litt om dette, og det er mest sannsynlig en feilmelding pga harddisk feil eller noe i den duren. Du burde komme in i safe modus på en eller anen måte og kjøre noen diagnostics programmer eller antivirus programmer. Her er et utsnitt fra en annen tråd

Hi iano,

The message that you are receiving usually is genuine.

However, having said that, I would suggest that before you do actually start backing up all your data, you boot into Safe Mode and run your Anti-virus program from there.

If the scan comes out 'clean'; then, it is imperative that you back up your important data immediately.

I would also find out the manufacturer of the HDD you have; go to their website; download their HDD diagnstic tool, run it; and determine if in fact your HDD is faulty.

Even though your system is a Hp Compaq™, the HDD could be manufactured by another maker; such as, WesternDigital™, or Seagate™.
