radloot Skrevet 19. desember 2010 #1 Skrevet 19. desember 2010 My wife is Norwegian, and I would like to make some southern New Year´s Eve food for my her. We live in Oslo, so I was wondering if you can get collard greens here? I havent seen them anywhere, but I havent looked yet. Collard greens, and black eyed peas are what I would need (I havent seen them around). Thanks!
Gjest Blondie65 Skrevet 19. desember 2010 #2 Skrevet 19. desember 2010 I'm sorry I don't know where to get them, I just had to comment since I didn't know that the band had a name from a vegetable.
Zzyzx Skrevet 19. desember 2010 #3 Skrevet 19. desember 2010 Take a trip to Grønland and go to the "corner veggie shops". I know for a fact that you can get the black eyed peas there, at least the dried version. They're cheap as well. I have not seen collard greens anywhere but they belong to the cabbage family so you should be able to find a replacement of sorts. We have something called "grønnkål", English "kale", that may work instead of collard greens.
