SILENT VANQUISH es una banda noruega de Dark Metal. Una de las tantas que han surgido en durante finales de la década del '90. Por momentos me hace recordar a los alemanes EVEREVE en su faceta más tranquila. A parte incorporan algunos elementos sinfónicos, pero sobre todo progresivos. El señor Mats Lerberg alterna voces limpias y guturales, aunque no abusa de estas últimas. El demo consta de tres largos temas, donde tiene una destacada participación el baterista Carl Sværd. Hay algunas incrustaciones de Doom Metal, sobre todo en la segunda canción "The obscure entity in man". En realidad es un disco muy oscuro, atmósferico y depresivo.
