The theme song is "Where You Lead", which was written by Carole King and Toni Stern, and was originally released on Carole King's 1971 album, "Tapestry". She teamed with Louise Goffin, her daughter, in re-recording the song with a few different lines from the original especially for the show. They released a full-length version of the song which is on "Our Little Corner Of The World", the "Gilmore Girls" soundtrack.
