Blonde- A person with fair hair and skin and usually light eyes /green, blue, gray (variations of these)). When referring to a male, it is spelled blonde without the -e. Some people are blonde because they have less pigment in their hair than dark haired people. To be blonde is usually to have blonde ancestors. Then it is genetic - blondes have genes that make them blonde. Sometimes it is not genetic - this is called albinism. People can also use chemicals to make themselves blonde. Bleach is sometimes used to make the color of a persons hair lighter.

Most people are not blondes by their genes. Only some people with Caucasian ancestry are blondes by their genes, and also some Australian Aborigines have a different gene that makes them blonde. Natural blondes are most common around the Baltic Sea, especially the Nordic countries such as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, and Finland. Germany and Austria, though neither are Scandinavian countries, are also Nordic. According to recent genetic analysis, both mtDNA and Y chromosome exist in Austrians. Baltic countries, Slavic countries (especially Poland) and northwestern parts of Russia. There is also a large number of blondes in Turkic Central Asia. As well as Pakistan, especially in groups such as the Kalash.

Caucasian is another word for a person with pale or white skin.

Caucasian was originally a geographical term, referring to the Caucasus region (Caucasia) of central Eurasia. It has in time acquired other specific meanings:

1. In common usage and political contexts, it usually refers to the so-called Caucasian race; which, in North America, Australia, and New Zealand is often equated with the "whites" ethnic group.

2. On various forms Caucasian usually means a specific combination of external physical attributes, especially light skin.

3. In physical anthropology, it may mean the Caucasoid physical type, characterized by a specific set of skeletal features.

4. In linguistics, it may refer to any of the languages of the Caucasus.

5. It refers to peoples from Caucasus.

Anthropologist Peter Frost's map of blonde hair. In the lightest yellow area, blonde hair is the most common (80 per cent or more of the native population). The darker the colour, the fewer blondes. In the black area, there are practically no blondes.

Brunette- A brown/black haired woman with dark eyes and a relatively dark or olive complexion.

Someone I know said that Blond is not a hair color but a racial identity. I tend to agree with that.
